Mission

Every investor should be able to invest in right investment products based on their needs, manage and monitor them to meet their goals, access reports and enjoy financial wellness.

B. Details of Business Transacted by the Investment Adviser

  • Enter into an agreement with the client providing all details including fee details, conflict-of-interest disclosure, and maintaining confidentiality of information.
  • Do a proper and unbiased risk profiling and suitability assessment of the client.
  • Conduct audit annually.
  • Disclose the status of complaints on its website.
  • Disclose name/proprietor, registration type & number, validity, full address with telephone numbers, and associated SEBI regional/local office details on its website.
  • Employ only qualified and certified employees.
  • Deal with clients only from official numbers.
  • Maintain records of interactions with all clients, including prospective clients (prior to onboarding), where any conversation related to advice has taken place.
  • Ensure that all advertisements adhere to the Advertisement Code for Investment Advisers.
  • Not discriminate in terms of services among clients opting for same/similar products/services.

C. Details of Services Provided to Investors (No Indicative Timelines)

Onboarding of Clients

  • Sharing of agreement copy.
  • Completing KYC of clients.

Disclosure to Clients

  • Provide full disclosure about business, affiliations, and compensation in the agreement.
  • Not access client’s accounts or holdings for offering advice.
  • Disclose the risk profile to the client.
  • Disclose any conflict of interest of the investment advisory activities with any other activities of the investment adviser.
  • Disclose the extent of use of Artificial Intelligence tools in providing investment advisory services.
  • Provide investment advice based on the client’s risk-profiling and suitability.
  • Treat all advisory clients with honesty and integrity.
  • Make adequate disclosure of all material facts such as risks, obligations, and costs relating to advised products/securities.
  • Provide clear guidance and adequate caution notice when advising on complex and high-risk financial products/services.
  • Ensure confidentiality of client information unless required by law or with the client’s specific consent.
  • Disclose timelines for services and ensure adherence.

D. Grievance Redressal Mechanism

1. Filing Complaints with Investment Adviser
Investors may approach the concerned Investment Adviser who shall strive to redress the grievance immediately, but not later than 21 days of receipt.

2. Filing on SCORES / IAASB
SCORES 2.0 (web-based centralized grievance redressal system of SEBI): https://scores.sebi.gov.in
Two-level review: First by IAASB, Second by SEBI.

3. SMART ODR
If not satisfied with the resolution, the investor may file the complaint on SMARTODR for online conciliation or arbitration.

  • Right to be Heard and Satisfactory Grievance Redressal – including timely redressal.
  • Right to Suitability of Financial Products.
  • Right to Exit from financial product/service as per agreement terms.
  • Right to receive clear guidance and caution when dealing in complex/high-risk products/services.
  • Additional Rights to Vulnerable Consumers: Access to services in a suitable manner even if differently abled.
  • Right to provide feedback on financial products/services used.
  • Right against coercive, unfair, and one-sided clauses in agreements.

F. Expectations from Investors (Responsibilities of Investors)

Do’s

  • Always deal with SEBI-registered Investment Advisers and verify the valid registration certificate.
  • Check SEBI registration number. Refer to the list of registered Investment Advisers on SEBI website: SEBI Registered IAs.
  • Pay only advisory fees through banking channels and maintain duly signed receipts. Consider paying via CeFCoM if the adviser has opted for it.
  • Insist on risk profiling before accepting investment advice; ensure advice is based on your risk profile and available alternatives.
  • Ask all relevant questions and clear doubts before acting on advice.
  • Assess risk–return, liquidity, and safety before investing.
  • Insist on written, signed, and stamped terms & conditions (fees, plans, recommendation categories, etc.).
  • Be vigilant in transactions and approach appropriate authorities for grievance redressal.
  • Inform SEBI about advisers offering assured/guaranteed returns.
  • Know your rights to exit, to seek clarifications, and to provide feedback.
  • You will not be bound by any clause that contravenes regulatory provisions.

Don’ts

  • Don’t fall for stock tips offered under the pretext of investment advice.
  • Do not provide funds for investment to the Investment Adviser.
  • Don’t believe promises of indicative/exorbitant/assured returns. Don’t let greed override rational decisions.
  • Don’t fall prey to luring advertisements or market rumors.
  • Avoid acting solely on phone calls/messages from any adviser or representatives.
  • Don’t take decisions due to repeated messages/calls by advisers.
  • Do not fall for limited-period discounts, incentives, or gifts offered by advisers.
  • Don’t rush into investments that don’t match your risk appetite and goals.
  • Do not share login credentials or passwords of your trading/demat accounts with the adviser.
